We strive for these characteristics to add depth, beauty and texture to create the look of a found object. Wood items do crack and cracking is a natural aging process commonly found in European inspired objects. Cracks, especially in large pieces of wood should not be considered defects. We strive to keep wood movement to a minimum, but many times it is beyond our control.
