    • This over scale bookcase is large and scale and size, but shallow in the shelving area. It is a perfect backdrop for artwork and decorative books. The inside of the bookcase is covered in painted burlap. Each bookcase is hand finished and is constructed of new and old wood. Some cracks and splitting may be seen do to the large amount of wood and hand carving.

Small irregularities in shapes, surfaces and finishes are the hallmarks of our distressing and aging techniques. We strive for these characteristics to add depth, beauty and texture to create the look of a found object. Wood items do crack and cracking is a natural aging process commonly found in European inspired objects. Cracks, especially in large pieces of wood should not be considered defects. We strive to keep wood movement to a minimum, but many times it is beyond our control.
