Founded in 2003 while working on his MBA, Randal Weeks chose to pursue his own dream after 15 years working for large corporations.
The combination of his degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M, his soon to be achieved MBA and a little inspiration from Oprah Winfrey, Randal pushed to act on his dream and build something that he could be passionate about. “You will never be happy if you are not passionate about what you do,” Oprah said, a motto that took Randal a long time to uncover, but one that he lives by daily.
Aidan Gray began to take shape in graduate school where Randal’s dream and weekend hobby developed into a company with his partner, Sally, and a classmate, Shelia Butler. Following the company’s debut in early 2003, Shelia formally joined Aidan Gray, bringing with her extraordinary “people” talents and a tireless drive to build a company whose reputation is firmly grounded in customer satisfaction. Sally started off with the company but maintained two jobs and remained the bread winner helping the company along from the outside during the early years. She rejoined the company full time as head of Finance in the spring of 2007. Both Shelia and Sally had very successful careers in the medical and health care industries and approach the design industry with a fresh perspective.
The Aidan Gray line represents Randal’s love for interiors, design and authentic products that exude “European Grandeur.” The founding partners’ desire for products made by hand and with authentic materials such as solid wood, rustic metals, antique mirror, old painted finishes and silk appointments drives product development. The partners came together quietly to create what is quickly becoming known as a quality source for architecturally accurate home décor.
Today, six years after its founding, Shelia and Sally have formed a close partnership that has propelled the company forward in Customer Service, Sales, Daily Operations and Finance through diligence, hard work and personal determination. Randal continues to streamline the look and feel of the company with an ever expanding line. The company has become known for exceptional quality, detail oriented products and unparallel customer service.
